The Super Man and the Bugout by Cory Doctorow
Cory Doctorow is a leader in taking a new look at the subject of copyright. Some of his stories are posted at www.gutenberg.org.
That's where I came across this story which asks what would the Super Man story be like if the infant had been raised by a
Jewish family. The thought of a super hero with a Jewish mother was irresistible so I did this reading.

Craphound is the story that put Cory Doctorow on the map. It's about visitors from outer
space who are more interested in garage sales and Sally Anns (Salvation Army Thrift Stores) then they are on conquest.

A Whale on Wall Street by Roy Trumbull
This is a natural disaster story, a financial disaster story, and a love story. The country faced an epidemic of Kidsheimers,
a condition that caused adults to become childlike at work. It led to subprime mortgages and such.

A crazy story which opens in Tierra del Fuego at the tip of South America featuring Alex, a bird who is half parrot and half
penguin. Next stop is an island in the Antarctic inhabited by ancient Egyptians who hail him as their god incarnate.
(I had no idea a pasenger ship would hit an iceberg not long after I published this story.)
In Punta Tombo near Rawson Argentina he becomes a movie star and founds a chain of espresso cafes. His co-stars include
Juanita and Glyn. In supporting roles we have Ruffa the dog and Al the seagull, Bernie the ibis and the entire tribe of Sethites.
This story started out a bit more crazy than it is. It was made up on the spot to settle my grandson who was bouncing
off the walls late one afternoon. He climbed into my lap and listened. So, I thought, why not flesh it out? As to what age
group it's appropriate for, I think "none" is a fair answer.
